Clay at the Suter

We started off with the roll at school then Room 3 zoomed off to the Suter Art Gallery.
As soon as we got there we went inside to sketch and talk about the exhibition. The exhibition was called West and East. It told a story about a little girl getting married.
Next we quietly tiptoed to the huge theatre and sat down in the front seats so Esther could talk about  to us about how to make the pottery. Then we started making the pot. It was exciting! We got some clay and put it into the mould, it was squishy and soft. Next we spread the clay and smoothed it with our thumbs. Finally we scratched, wet and wiggled the clay to make it strong.
Later we carved our name, room number and school. This was the nervous part...I had to carve my design onto the nearly hard clay. "Yes, I've done it!"I thought to myself.
When we walked back to school we walked through the Queens Gardens and looked at the fish.
I can't wait till we go back there again.
